I have a large magnet board just inside my front door that I keep all sorts of cute pictures and notes on. One of my favorite ways to keeps things interesting on the board is by adding fun magnets. Follow the tutorial below to make your own fabric yo-yo magnet!
Don’t have a yo-yo maker? That’s ok! You can still make a yo-yo by cutting a large circle, folding over the edge and weaving in and out as you sew (like you see in the pictures). The yo-yo maker just holds your fabric in place. If you want to buy one, most craft stores carry them in the sewing section.
Here are some other great magnets you could make yourself:
– old Scrabble tiles
– bottle caps
– photo strips
Play around! What great magnet ideas do you have?
